Our design intent for this growing dermatology practice was to create a contemporary art program which complements the sleek design and interior finishes. Our imagery is both fun and playful experimenting with creative use of substrates including paper, canvas, and printed acrylic. Each practice has a unique design feature; like the one located in Park Ridge, not far from O’Hare Airport. Through a collaboration with the owner/end user, our graphic design department created a commissioned graphic featuring Amelia Earhart with Chicago as the backdrop. One final “fun” element is our folded airplane mobile, each crafted out of aluminum, shaped into airplanes, and suspended using clear cable. Further promoting the client’s brand, all the art features Derick’s unique shade of purple.
In addition to the art program, our interior designers were tasked with specifying accessories for every waiting, check in and check out area. Lots of chrome, acrylic, and of course purple!
Our team designed and installed custom signage for wayfinding; brushed silver with black raised letters, braille and yes, you guessed, a purple edge.
