For this project we were tasked with modifying an existing feature art wall in the main lobby at Condell Medical Center.
The established assembly consisted of four hand painted glass panels, suspended over a water feature, each as a back drop to display the previous four values of the hospital: COMPASSION, COMMUNITY, GRATITUDE, and PARTNERSHIP.
The new initiative was to feature the hospital’s mission statement plus their new five core values. Our first challenge was to integrate these six new design elements in a balanced way onto the four existing hand painted glass panels. Then, our designers developed a strategy to incorporate healing imagery that matched each of the new values.
We offered the end users options with respect to print types and substrate so that we could most effectively communicate our design intent while meeting the budgetary goals. The installation of the new panels was a challenge requiring us to drain the water feature to create a safe working platform.
